These are non battery style auto reset "ARC" chips and are programmed to automatically reset when the cartridge reads empty in the printer, is removed, refilled with ink, and reinstalled. Upon reinserting the cartridge, the ink level will be reset to full. These style chips can NOT be manually reset. Extra care is required not to short the chip. Maintain good room humidity to keep static shock from reaching the chip when removing and re-inserting the cartridges.
